"Blogged Down"

What an INSANE couple of weeks it’s been.  

Got a job.  Check.

Finished TWO of those books I was in the middle of.  Check.

Began getting stress-related zits [again].  Check.

I’m really interested to see how I handle myself during this “full-time job” business.  I’m sooOoo excited to finally have my own classroom, but wow.  I want to have a good handle on things and prove myself. [[Cue the “Take things one day at a time” mantra.]] 

Things are finally on their way… I’m getting where I want to be!  

Now if only the REST of my life would catch up.

First of all, I know it’s been awhile.  I’m sorry.

Second… I started watching “Rubber” today.  A story about a tire that kills people.  What. In. The. World.  Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the film, so I didn’t get a chance to see it get better.  I’m still intrigued though… I may have to resume and complain about it’s stupidity later.  ;)

On another note.  I am currently in between jobs and waiting to hear back from a school where I had two interviews.  The wait is killing me softly.  And NOT with a song.  I’ll be sure to update you with the status of those interviews.  I’m hoping to know very soon!

Also, I’m slacking on everything.  I need to get back into dance classes.  I need to finish my BAZILLION books I’m in the middle of reading.  I need to get my workout routine back on track.  I need to continue writing my novelette…. Tomorrow begins the summer of great accomplishments!  

So I saw “Something Borrowed” today, and yes, although it is a chick-flick, it was a fairly entertaining one. :)  

It made me realize how much I enjoy John Krasinski… maybe because he reminds me of my boyfriend… but more on that later. ;)

As I’m watching, I found myself totally cheering for Rachel and Dex. (Dex, by the way, is engaged to Rachel’s best friend Darcy.)  When I actually stopped to think about it, I realized how awful it was.  Real life doesn’t happen that way!?  If that were real life, I don’t know how Rachel would ever be able to trust Dex… no matter how long they’ve had feelings for one another.  Aww… and poor Ethan… 

Wow.  I think I lost my point… and that little blurb sounds like I got lost inside a bad romance novel-slash-soap opera. Haha, oh well! ;)

All this to say… I’m a real emotional sap and watching movies like that really tugs at my heart strings.  It also makes me really thankful for those special loved ones in my life.  Ahhem… that means YOU. <3

Remember those “accomplishments” I told you about.  Yeah.  Well… haven’t exactly completed anything since I mentioned it.  HOWEVER… I did get that job! Yessssss!  Very excited.  

Now… I must go finish a book. =)

Easy as that right? Minus the fact that I’m incredibly exhausted and ready for bed at 6pm, I am perfectly content.  AND I LOVE IT!  I’m ready to spread a little Sunshine…

…and spend some time in the Sunshine!  I’m ready for a tan! Woooohooo beach days! :D

A 4th grade boy challenged me to a race today.  Little did he know, I used to run track… and I’m pretty fast… aaAand I’m awesome.

I beat him.  TWICE.  In my slacks and Steve Madden flats.
